Our History:

The Delphos Area Art Guild began under the guidance of 5 talented local artists. The grassroot members were Judy Grone, Sue Nocera, Ann Laman, Donna Rice, and Dawn Rees.  They began having monthly sessions at one another's homes and then moving to other local establishments for monthly meetings and artistic sessions.

Drawing from their own skills - Judy, a collage and assemblage artist; Sue, a watercolor and mixed media collage artist, instructor, and children's book illustrator; Ann, a watercolor artist; Donna, a published author and water colorist; and Dawn, a fiber artist; these 5 women organized and marketed ArtFest, an annual fine arts exhibit held during Canal Days which first began in 2005. This annual juried show drew artists from Ohio and Indiana, giving the community of Delphos access to award winning artists in various fine art mediums and have made this annual exhibit huge success.

In 2007, the art group was invited to assemble at First Federal Bank and in 2009 moved to the 2nd Floor Gallery above the Postal Museum.  It was at this time that official incorporation occurred and they decided upon the name Delphos Area Art Guild or DAAG.

DAAG happily lived above the museum until May 2013. We now, with the support of the Delphos Public Library, hold classes and exhibits within their facility allowing us to continue our growth toward serving the local community, building upon our mission, and working towards our vision of supporting the arts.
